what do they want?

So the story is -- im friends with a few people from this one huge group of friends that sit together at lunch. I'm usually not sitting by them unless they do at some occasions. They all talk to me in some way by text, or ask me a question or w/e during school. And they're always looking at me . And i dont know if theys want to be my friend too or if they hate me or something. they just just give me neutral stares and i cant read their face and i cant tell if they're being nice or mean. They always look my direction, so im having a sense that they're looking at me. But for what? Do you find this valuable?
